Blood Red Shoes, the band formed by former Oedipus and Cat On Form man Steve Ansell, took part in a photo shoot in Oxford for Love Music Hate Racism, along with local stars Mr Shaodow, Bethany Weimers and Pete and Charlie from InLight.

Here’s a snap from Pixies legend Black Francis’ impromptu performance under the Bridge of Sighs in central Oxford earlier today. The show, called a ‘precore’, was in advance of his show at Oxford Brookes. The set included ‘Where Is My Mind’, ‘Nimrod’s Son’, ‘Holiday Song’ and ‘Cactus’.
